What is Polyglot Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language? ( PI TEFL)

A detailed course designed to prepare candidates for a formal internationally recognized teaching qualification. You will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge learnt in practical real-life examples and develop critical thinking skills regards your own teaching and that of your peers.

If you have no teaching experience, this 120 hour course will give you an in-depth introduction to teaching prior to you registering for the Cambridge CELTA course should you decide to do so.

How you will be assessed:

  • 3 informal assessments (micro lessons)
  • I final assessed lesson
  • There are progress quizzes during the course

Application Overview

Minimum entry requirement: You must demonstrate an awareness of language and a competence in English, both written and spoken. CEFR level B 2 or IELTS band 6.5. You must have a standard of education which would allow entrance to higher education in your country.

The pre-interview task: (CELTA application)

The interview: (Zoom or face to face – similar to CELTA)

You will be invited for an interview, preferably face to face but it is possible to have the interview by zoom.

The interviewer will be interested in your fluency and language learning background, as well as your motivation to take the course, and how you will cope with giving and, of course, getting feedback.

Moreover, the interview is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions or queries you may have about the course.
